The Scientific Police have begun an investigation into the accident that killed rural producer Matheus Pilegi Torrenha Fernandes, 26, on the evening of Saturday the 19th, on the PR-317, between Santa Fé and Nossa Senhora das Graças. The car with Matheus' body was found about 100 meters from the roadway. Evidence suggests that the car rolled over.
Matheus Pilegi was the son of rural producer Silvano Torrenho Fernandes, who works in the farm sector in Santa Fé.
Police assume that the accident happened shortly after 21 p.m., moments after Matheus left Santa Fé on the PR-317 towards Nossa Senhora das Graças. It was only around 22:30 p.m. that a passerby noticed the vehicle overturned about 100 meters from the road. It was Matheus' Toyota Corolla, which showed signs of having rolled over several times.
