Located in the center of Paraná, the State University of the Center-West (Unicentro) is accepting applications for a public competition to hire non-tenured professors.

In total, 38 vacancies are offered, distributed between the campuses in the cities of Guarapuava and Irati. Salaries range from R$2.813,86 to R$16.565,27.

The application process will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage of the application, candidates must fill in their personal details through the Unicentro competition website. Candidates must then submit all requested documents in PDF format via protocol. The deadline for both phases is June 30th.

The application fee is R$240, and can be paid via bank slip. However, until June 13, candidates who meet specific criteria can request an exemption from the fee. Blood, bone marrow and human milk donors; electoral service providers; those registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico) for federal government social programs; and members of low-income families can apply for the benefit. To do so, simply fill out the exemption application also on the Unicentro competition website.

The selection of candidates consists of a written test with public reading, which is scheduled for August 24; a didactic test that will be held from October 14; and a test of qualifications. The locations for the tests are the Santa Cruz campus, for vacancies offered in Guarapuava; and Irati for vacancies offered in the municipality.

In total, there are 38 vacancies available. For the Irati campus, there are 10 vacancies available distributed among the departments of Environmental Engineering, Speech Therapy, Geography, Literature, Pedagogy and Psychology. On the Guarapuava campuses (Cedeteg and Santa Cruz), there are 28 vacancies in the departments of Accounting Sciences, Computer Science, Economic Sciences, Social Communication, Law, Food Engineering, Pharmacy, Philosophy, Physics, Physiotherapy, Literature, Medicine, Nutrition, Pedagogy and Chemistry.

Salaries range from 2.813,86 to 16.565,27, depending on the candidate's title – specialist, master's and doctorate – and the work regime.

For further information, please access and carefully read the competition notice, preferably in full.
